Things I Have Been Doing That Changed My Life

Before the pandemic, I used to live a normal life, which is waking up, going to work, coming from work, watching TV shows, and going to bed. For that, there were things that I was never doing or always delaying.

I can surely tell you that COVID-19 has changed my life. This is because I started to do things that I didn’t even think that one day I will do them. Also, I didn’t have the time to do them, or at least this was my excuse.

These are the 3 major things that changed my life.

1- Workout

I never loved working out, I always thought that working out is a waste of time. I rather spent my time doing some sport like playing tennis or swimming. Therefore, I didn’t love to go to the gym, I think I still hate going to gyms. However, during the quarantine, I started to do some home workouts as I started looking for some programs on YouTube and I have found Chloe Ting. Her workouts look tiring, so I decided to try her out. I started working out from April till today and it makes me very healthy, I lost almost 20 kg (about 40 lbs.), which is amazing. I couldn’t imagine that doing home workouts like abs, HIIT, cardio, etc. would change my life. I now feel healthier, happier, and more energized.

2- Eating Healthy Food

I always loved eating food from outside, and my favorites are burger and pizza. However, when the COVID-19 started, we in the house started to not order any food from outside because at first, we thought it was dangerous. However, it turns out it is okay. From that, I decided to eat healthy food along with working out. I know that this must happen, but believe me, I know people who workout and eat junk food. Therefore, I didn’t do that instead I ate always healthy food for about two months. This then became a lifestyle for me because I started to love eating healthy food. I started to enjoy fruits and vegetables. I even didn’t mind not having dinner at night. I also stopped eating sugar. I can’t express enough how this made me very energized because what is entering into my body is all clean food. I also always had a happy mood, which is incredibly amazing.

3- Reading books

I always loved the idea of reading books, but I didn’t have the time to do so because of the normal busy life. Therefore, this is one of the things that I always delay. However, when the quarantine happened, I started to really read books, which changed my life in the way of thinking and almost becoming smarter by somehow. Therefore, reading books is one of the things that I didn’t regret doing. I love reading self-development books. These days, I read the following books.

The Book Thief

The Slight Edge

These books did somehow teach me something and every one of them changed some parts of my life.

I believe that everything happens for a reason, so if the COVID-19 didn’t happen, I wouldn’t do what I am currently doing. I think my life has totally become better due to this pandemic. Sometimes the days that you think are the worst, are the days that will change you.
